My Rights, My Freedom Writing Competition

Young South Africans aged between 13 and 25 are invited to submit entries for the "My Rights, My Freedom" writing competition. Launched by FunDza Literacy Trust in commemoration of Human Rights Day, participants are requested to write an essay about which human right means the most to them and why, or write a story that illustrates the importance of a particular human right. The FunDza Literacy Trust's mission is to develop literacy through growing a community of readers and writers among teens and young adults in South Africa.
The winner will receive a Lenovo A5500 8 Quad-Core Tablet with wifi and 3G. Two runners-up will each receive ZAR100 airtime.

FunDza invites participants between the ages of 13 an 25 years old to enter the competition by emailing their original story or essay of 400-500 words in length to writing@fundza.co.za with the words "My Rights, My Freedom" in the subject line.
Rules of the competition:
- Entrants may submit multiple stories or essays.
- Entrants may only submit their own original and previously unpublished work.
- Only stories or essays that are your own original work are considered to be valid entries.
- Only stories or essays submitted via email to writing@fundza.co.za will be considered to be part of the competition.
- Only stories or essays that are submitted with all the required information (name, date of birth and ID number, contact details and address) will be considered for the prize.
FunDza reserves the right to publish any entries on its mobi site, Mxit app, Android app, Facebook page, Twitter feed or any other FunDza space.
